APPLICATION
Application is open to all high school students currently in grades 9-12, including graduated seniors and to students of all levels of theatre experience. Our application process for 2010 ONLINE ONLY, please scroll to the bottom of this page for the online application.
We will confirm receipt of your application as soon as it is received and you will receive an admissions decision in 7-10 days. We recommend that you have the following on hand before you start your application:
-Personal Statement (Word document) of 500 words telling us why you would like to attend Acting Abroad 2009 and what you hope to gain from the program. Describe your theatre experience, including classes taken and tech experience, and what your plans are for college and beyond. This does not have to be a perfect college entrance style essay! We just want to get a sense of who you are.
-Your most recent transcript
-Contact information for your Drama/Theatre teacher and someone at your school who can confirm your grades.
-Information from your parents last tax return (Financial Need Scholarship only)
RETURNING STUDENTS/ADVANCED PLACEMENT
Returning students automatically progress to the Advanced Class in their second summer and the Master Class in their third summer. New applicants who feel capable of working at a higher level can submit a full resume and audition tape to request Advanced Placement. Students will be notified of their acceptance by email with an official letter of acceptance. Supplemental information with forms to return will be mailed out following acceptance onto the program.
